You will need to go to the link listed below to get a copy of the SPI's (student performance indicators) that we will be or have been covering this year.
The heading should be the SPI number and SPI of what you are covering. (i.e. 0807.5.1 Use a simple classification key to identify an unknown organism) You will understand this better when you see the SPI list. However, if you feel like being creative and giving it a different and creative name, please feel free. Just list the SPI stuff under it. :-)
Valid information about the topic posted both in scientific terminology and "redneck" (how you understand it) explanations. Some will be longer than others but minimum coverage of material is expected. That means you should use or explain all of the vocabulary words that we use in class.
At least 3 different pics should be on the page with a brief explanation of what is being seen.
At least 5 links to other internet sites that include information about the SPI.
At least 5 questions that someone should be able to answer after investigating your wiki.
If you really want your wiki to be extraordinary link the SPI, GLE's, and Learning expectations all together. You can do that with the document link below.
The link below opens a rubric for you to follow for each wiki. There are 24 possible points to be scored from rubric. 19-21 points will earn a 100 for a test grade and 22-24 points will earn you a 100 for a daily grade as well. YES, that's right... two 100's for a wiki scoring 22-24 according to the rubric.

Other "things to be aware of"... (aka "the fine print''):
I will only accept a maximum of 5 wikis per six weeks.
The best wikis will be put on a master wiki at a later date. Of course, I wll give props to those who designed it.
I will not accept the same from the same student over and over... sorry.
Wikis can go back to prior learning but no one can post a wiki about something that has not been covered at that particular time of the year.
Things are subject to change since this is our first ever outing in wiki space. I guess thats what makes SCMS science students WIKID!
Last but not least... ALL DECISIONS MADE BY ME ARE FINAL. That's just a nasty little habit I picked up on years ago... something about my class, my rules or something.
